DAY 1: CUSCO, CHACHABAMBA, WINAY, WAYNA, MACHU PICCHU
Take the Peru Rail along the Urubamba river through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The clouds forest begins to appear as the valley turns to canyons. We cross a hanging bridge at Km. 104 to the site of Chachabamba. We then begin our 4 hour ascent to the ruins of Winay Wayna which is an important ritual site from the past. We then cut across the ridge above Machu Picchu, reaching the “door of the sun”. this is where the trail begins to wind downhill. This brings a great view of the massive citadel! You will then overnight in a Hostel in the city of Aguas Calientes, dinner is not included.
DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU- CUSCO
Have an early breakfast then take the scenic ride up to Machu Picchu to see the world renown, site of the citadel. Lunch is included, then take the Peru Rail back to Cusco.
Included: Transportation to/from Cusco, Entrance fees and Guide, two lunches and one breakfast, Hostel in Aguas Calientes.

Included: Transfer to/from hotel in Cusco, a Guide with Porters, two person tents with sleeping pads, dining and kitchen tent, toilet, tables and seats.
DAY 1, CUSCO – PISCACUCHO –YUNCACHIMPA
You will be taken to from your hotel to Urubamba where you will stop briefly. Then on to Chillca where you will begin your trek. Rest for around 30 min. while you have lunch. Then start your trek up to the first camping site. On the way up to the site visit the famous archaeological site of Llactapata.
DAY 2, YUNCACHIMPA – WARMIWANUSCA – RUNCURACAY
After a delightful breakfast begin your trek to the highest Incan point on the trek. A site where you can see different ecological zones. Then cross the Warmiwanusca pass at 4200 meters above sea level, have lunch then continue to the camp of Pacaymayo, we then will have dinner. What a day trekking the Inca Trail in Peru.
DAY 3, RUNCURACAY – CHAQ’ICOCHA- WINAY – WAYNAY
After we begin our trek this morning it takes about 45 minutes to reach our second pass at 3,850 meters above sea level. We will then visit the Sayaccmarca remains, then we will continue on to the Phuyupatamarca ruins. Then enjoy a tasty lunch and start the trek to Winay Wayna where we will enjoy our last camp of the Trek.
DAY 4, WINAY – WAYNA-MACHU PICCHU – CUSCU
At last the path to Machu Picchu! When we get to Punku. We will have a Panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Once we get to the citadel we will begin our 3 hour tour of the ruins. After out tour we take the bus to Aguas Calientes where we will have some free time to rest or shop at the local markets prior to our train ride to Cusco.
